“After 10 years… I actually sold it.”

Family Life Add comments

At 9:00 am on November 30th, 2007 I sold Schmidt Engineering, Incorporated! I’ve been meaning to start this blog ever since that day. And as you can see from the date of this post… well it took me awhile to get this started!

I started Schmidt Engineering, Inc. during the summer of 1997. I was 26 years old at the time and to say I didn’t know what I was doing is THE understatement of the decade! As I look back on the last ten years and try to figure out what went right… all I can really come up with is that I was always good at just DOING things.

Some years back, I read a book called “Selling Retail”. It helped a lot at the time, but I’ve forgotten more of it than I ever knew. Time to re-read it, and I’ll get started on your “top 6″ right away. Thanks. The right advisors really do help!

    Hi John,

Thanks for the book suggestion. I’ll be sure to get a copy of “Selling Retail” for my library (and for my brain!)

    Take care,

    Tim
