Tim Schmidt started Schmdit Engineering, Inc. (SEI) in 1997 and sold it in 2007. SEI continues to provide mechanical design and engineering services to the permanent point-of-purchase display industry.

Currently, Tim Schmidt is the founder and CEO of the United States Concealed Carry Association. The USCCA is "The Ultimate Resource for the Armed Citizen" and has over 27,000 active members.

Tim is also the president of Delta Media, LLC which is the publisher of Concealed Carry Magazine along with numerous other self-defense related special reports and DVDs. Delta Media has served over 50,000 customers with its laser-focused, self-defense information products.

Tim lives in South-Eastern Wisconsin with his wife and three children.
