Hi Tim,
Thank you for the video and info … much appreciated.

Hey Tim,
The videos at your site do not have buttons to allow being shown fullscreen. So when you kindly give us a teaching video like “Create Your Pro Website” we cannot really see what you are doing in detail — and that is the whole point of the recording, right?
PLEASE upgrade your video hosting service and please see things through the eyes of your reader/viewers!
Thanks,
Hans

Thanks for the info…you made that look really simple.
Just one question tho, when you download the theme to your computer do you unzip it before you upload it. sorry for newbie question but if you don’t ask you don’t know.
Thanks

You Can Not Make a Professional Website unless you are a Professional Web Designer & Programmer…
Unless You Watch Tim’s Video this is the “Good Stuff”
I took action and did what Tim said and I have a “Killer” Website…
It took me a little longer than 4 minutes -
Here is what I did -
1) I used Go Daddy (I like their marketing)
2) Installed Word press on the host…
3) Bought a theme from Studio Press - about the price of a tank of gas for the Tundra…
3) Unzipped & uploaded the theme using File Zilla - (put the theme into the wordpress file on the host)
4) Plugged in a whole bunch of Killer Content…

PS - Check out this site (new & improved) and see for yourself. Then you decide if this a Killer Website???
See what a simple word press site looks like all “Dressed-Up & Ready-for-the-Dance. Good Job Tribal Tim -

Hi Michele,
You don’t have to apologize for asking a question! I should have specified…
You have to unzip the file before uploading it. Sometimes when you download a theme there are a few different folders contained within your download - in that case, the one that you typically need to upload is the actual name of the theme (for instance, mine for the video example was “inove.”
The site looks great Moose Man!

Not to sound thrifty-(cheap)- does the community know of a site to get “Free” wordpress themes and graphics? I realize that there are some rudimentary themes available but is there any thing out there with some higher level looks and themes?
Thanks!

Dave,
Moose Man here:
There appears to be a ton of really cool free ones. Just type wordpress themes into google (got 50 million hits) or go to Wordpress and they have numerous free ones…
I tried a bunch…
WARNING - on Free Stuff -
I went a head and spent the “bucks” because word press is constantly upgrading, (well it feels like it) and the themes need to be upgraded also.
This means if Word press upgrades and the theme does not keep up with the upgrade and Then your site could crash.
No Big Deal - but lots of emotional pain… and money
As I write, Word Press is at 2.9.1. During the upgrade 2.9.0 I had to go to my theme provider and upgrade the theme that I purchased (no charge) to make the site work…
“Putting it into prospective” Word press upgrades often, plug-ins upgrade alot and for 50 Bucks I get the “Kool Kid” theme and the upgrades,
(assuming Studio Press, who I bought my theme from sticks around…)
Moose Man
PS -So when you are first starting out check out and do the deed with the free bees and then when you are ready to Crank-up-the-Heat - consider buying from someone you think is going to be around.

Please note the little arrows on the lower right portion of the video viewer. These will take you to full-screen mode.
Great advice Moose Man, thanks!

Good video, a solid display for the beginners. I would outsource a bit more of the work, but to each his own. On another note, I really enjoyed your “underground” presentation on tribal marketing. It was nice to see someone who realized how to combine one of Maslow’s theories with a practical purpose. There is a whole lot of theories and methods being thrown around in college, but not a whole lot people who know how to actually sell it. Thank you for providing yet another example why tribal marketing is much more effective than disruption marketing. We see this clearly as students, but most people seem to miss the concept entirely. We even started a company here at UF, just to make social networks around the concept. Forget selling out to “the man ;)”
Peace, and hit me back if you ever think you could turn your people into a social learning community. That way, they don’t have to keep asking you for advice, they can learn from each others mistakes. Seems like it could work for your markets.
Peace,
Nick Gilboy
