Read This If You Don’t Like Getting Ripped Off

Dear Entrepreneurs,

Today I want to tell you about two resources that will help you with competition (and THIEVES).

The first resource, I’ll preface with a story:

I was recently made aware that someone copied nearly EVERY aspect of my association, including a shockingly similar association name. I went on to find out that this person is actually a member of my association (what a great way to find content!)

As I handle this mildly annoying situation, I want to show you a very easy way to stop people from blatantly copying text from your website and pasting it on their own (it’s unfortunate that such a resource needs to exist, but I’m glad it does!).

Check out www.copyscape.com -  Just enter your URL into the search box and click Go. You’ll immediately see results if any websites have word-for-word copied your content.

The second resource is extremely helpful, especially if you’re in a highly competitive niche. It’s called SpyFu.

If you’re wondering what your competition is up to, who your top keyword competitors are, what keywords they are paying for, and a slew of other information that will help you get to know them better, then check out www.spyfu.com

Here’s a screenshot of a new feature called KOMBAT on SpyFu.

KOMBAT on SpyFu

It shows the Ad Keyword Overlap between BassPro.com and Cabelas.com. You can see how your keywords stack up against the competition by choosing the SpyFu KOMBAT button in the upper right corner.

SpyFu is great when you are starting or running PPC campaigns and you want to know what your competitors are up to. It’s a great resource just for finding out who your competitors are too!

Now go dominate your competition!

All the best!

Maybe some of you can relate to my experience growing up.  I had GREAT parents who didn’t give me many ‘things’ but instead encouraged me to pursue knowledge and experience that over time have become priceless to me.  It really used to get on my nerves when my dad would say things like, “Tim, the person you’ll be 5 years from now will be determined by the books you read and the people you hang out with.”  Heck, as a 13 or 14 year old, that’s not the kind of thing you want to hear because my priorities were more along the lines of hanging out with friends (NOT reading) and doing whatever was fun not really caring WHO it was with.  But sure enough, Dad was right again.

One of the books that had SIGNIFICANT impact on my life was Og Mandino’s ‘The Greatest Salesman in the World.’  If you’ve never read it I HIGHLY recommend it!  Mandino tells the story of a man named Hafid, who went from being a camel boy to one of the wealthiest men of his time.  It all started with his hunger to become something greater.  Hafid was given ten ancient scrolls with priceless wisdom that had been handed down for thousands of years.  But he didn’t just sit on that information, no he ACTED!  He pushed through the worry, doubt and fear that we all go through almost every day of our lives too.

PRINCIPLES never change and this book lays an awesome foundation of LIFE success principles

So what was it that he learned?  What was the SECRET to his success?  Well as many of you know, success doesn’t lie with just ONE ultimate secret.  The first scroll’s principle teaches that the only difference between those who have failed and those who have succeeded lies in the difference of their habits.  ‘Good habits are the key to all success.  Bad habits are the unlocked door to failure.’  We are slaves to our habits, both good and bad.  So the question I pose to you; are your habit’s bringing you a good return on the investment of your time?  If you are looking for a better return on your investment of your time then read and implement ‘The Greatest Salesman in the world!’  When you invest in YOURSELF you will never lose.

Here is an exciting tip.

Did you know you can improve your personal productivity by over 29.7% by simply using two computer monitors?

Now hold on a second. This statement assumes that you use a computer all day. If you’re a welder, mechanic or gunsmith, I don’t want to hear you saying, “Hey Tim! What the heck. I got the dual monitors like you said and it STILL took me 4.4 hours to change out a transmission.”

Okay, I’m serious here. I made this change to my work area in my office and saw a HUGE productivity increase.

Well, here’s the video tip. I hope you enjoy it. ;-)

In today’s video tip, I’ll show you how to increase your productivity by over 29.7%. The secret is in the effective use of dual monitors.

Why does this work? I think think the second monitor allows you to spend less time switching back and forth between applications. This configuration also helps to minimize distration.

Get that extra monitor and watch your productivity soar!

All the best,
